Lance Culbreth
Short answer
Lance Culbreth is the founder of Fraya (fraya.ai), a design-first commerce operating system for small businesses. A product designer for more than 15 years, he has worked at startups, design agencies and large enterprises, and since 2017 has run his own design studio, Exo Studio, working with more than 50 clients including Robinhood. He earned a BFA in industrial design and a master's in design management from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
Why Fraya
For years Lance designed products for companies with full teams behind them. Small businesses had the opposite: no team, little time, and ten separate tools to pay for before their first sale.
AI changed what one person could build. With Claude and Claude Code, Lance could build real software on his own, and he set out to build the product those businesses never had.
Fraya is that product. It designs the site, runs the store and checkout, and drafts each week’s posts, emails and review requests. Owners get the benefit of AI without having to manage it, and nothing goes out without their yes.
Less time on software. More time on the craft, the customers and the life the business is meant to support.
