Cookies

The short version: we use a small number of cookies so you can sign in and so the site remembers a couple of preferences. We don't use cookies for ad tracking. Below is the full picture.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store. On your next visit, the browser sends it back so the site can recognize you (for example, to keep you signed in instead of asking you to log in on every page).

What Fraya uses cookies for

  • Keeping you signed in. When you sign in with a magic link, we set a secure session cookie so you don't have to log in again for thirty days.
  • Stripe checkout & subscription billing. Stripe sets cookies during the brief redirect to its checkout page so it can complete your payment securely. We don't see the contents of those cookies.
  • Remembering small preferences. Things like dismissing this cookie banner, or the light/dark theme you picked. Stored locally; we don't read them from our servers.
  • Not used for advertising. Fraya doesn't run third-party ad networks, retargeting pixels, or behavioral profiling. We don't sell or share cookie data.

Keeps you signed in. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase) after a magic link or Google sign-in. HttpOnly. May be split across a few numbered cookies.

Expires: Session, refreshed while you use Fraya

Essential

Remembers that this browser entered a beta access code, so the workspace opens without asking again. HttpOnly.

Expires: 180 days

Functional (local)

Remembers that you dismissed the cookie banner. Stored in localStorage, not sent to our servers.

How to control cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser's settings at any time. Most browsers let you do this per site. If you block our essential session cookie, you won't be able to stay signed in.

We may update this page as Fraya evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged here and, when relevant, communicated to signed-in users by email.
